Guardians of the Galaxy coming to the big screen.
2014 Marvel Movies go cosmic with a direct tie-in to The Avengers with Guardians of the Galaxy. There has been a lot of talk and wonder ever since Marvel opened up the cosmic gateways with introducing Thanos in The Avengers. How will the mostly earth bound team deal with such a cosmic threat, especially if he gets his hands on the Infinity Gauntlet which appeared in Thor. The answer has come in yesterday’s Guardians announcement.
Back in April, Marvel producer Kevin Feige did an interview with Crave online about the future of Marvel movies and the urge to make a Guardians movie. For those wondering, he stated the movie would feature the new lineup made popular by writing team DnA (Dan Abnett, and Andy Lanning). Going from the main roster, and recent episodes of Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes, the core team will comprise of Star Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, and the most important, Adam Warlock. Subsequent characters that may be on the roster include Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Phyla-Vell (Quasar) Mantis, Major Victory, and Bug.
To do a proper Thanos or Infinity Gauntlet, Adam Warlock is a very important piece of the puzzle. He has been the key to thwarting almost every play at the Gauntlet, and was once its master. This is a bold move for Marvel, and one that I hope turns out as good as their other movies. They cracked open the door with Thor, and The Avengers into the cosmic Marvel universe. With Thor 2 promising to open that door wider, the Guardians could break it down completely.

Please, Hulk already took out Emma in WWH along with the rest of the X-Men. He squashed her diamond ass into the ground, literally. The rest of the matchups look interesting. I will buy any comic with artwork by Ari Granov, he re-invented Iron Man with the Extermis series, having him draw Iron Man vs Magneto will be amazing. Psylocke Vs Black Widow….yes please.

NOOOOOOOOOO, It is being reported that Rutina Wesley (Tara from True Blood) will play Michonne in The Walking Dead. I was so glad when she was finally killed off in True Blood. Michonne is the ultimate female katana wielding badass, I don’t think Rutina has it in her to play anything other than Tera

Whats going on behind the curtain at X-force?
X-force 18 will be poly-bagged in a red, and variant silver writing. The conclusion of the Dark Angel Saga. Things do not look good for the winged X-Man. Could this be the end of another beloved X-Man, and the second member of X-Force we loose?

CARNAGE!
Carnage is coming back to the Marvel Universe in the series Carnage USA! Written by Emmy award winning writer and marvel veteran Zeb Wells, who wrote the amazing Civil War series: Young Avengers/Runaways as well as the dark origin story of Eddie Brock. The series features some amazing illustration by Clayton Crain who is probably best known for his current work on X-Force.
Not much is known about the story, but the sheer terror in people’s faces gives me hope for a lot of fun in this book. The art work looks simply superb, and with a great writer behind it who understands the character and its legacy. This should be a comic any Spidey fan attaches themselves to.
